A STABLEGIRL underwent an operation yesterday after being kicked in the face by a racehorse at the yard where she works.
Anne Blanchard, 40, who works for Tim Easterby, at Great Habton, near Malton, North Yorkshire, suffered multiple fractures to her jaw and was being treated at York District Hospital.
She was kicked by a three-year-old sprinter, Artie, the recent winner of the William Hill Trophy at York racecourse, as she was getting the horse in from the paddock last week.
