FOUR caring pharmacy staff will complete a sponsored walk to raise funds for the Princess Royal Trust for Carers.
The workers will walk 14 miles from Moss Pharmacy, in Spennymoor, to the top of Durham Cathedral tower and back with their dogs on Sunday, July 14.
As well as raising funds for the charity, which has a centre in Edgar Grove, Bishop Auckland, by wearing charity T-shirts the four walkers hope to raise awareness of the work that carers do.
Judith West, of the Spennymoor shop, said: Three of us are quite fit as we go to the gym, and the fourth could be described as 'keen'. The dogs will be able to pull us up the hill and we will have a break for a cup of tea at the cathedral tearoom after we have climbed the tower."
Anyone who like to sponsor Mrs West and her team is asked to call (01388) 814976.
