A full programme of activities is planned at a Newton Aycliffe school during the summer holidays.
The activities for young people aged four to 16 are part of the arts development programme at Greenfield Community and Arts Centre.
In the first three weeks of the holidays, the school will be staging week-long workshops with artists.
From July 22 to 26, youngsters can take part in an animation and sculpture workshop. July 29 to August 2 focuses on dance, and from August 5 to 9 there will be a chance to explore literature and drama.
The summer schools will enable those taking part to work alongside professional artists in a fun learning environment.
Workshops will run from 10am to 3pm each day, with an hour for lunch. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult throughout the sessions.
The sculpture school is free, with all others costing £5 for the full week. For details call (01325) 307147 or 379048.
