TIME is running out to book places for a talk by a leading author later this month.
Gervase Phinn, whose latest book Head Over Heals in the Dales is receiving national acclaim, will be giving a lecture at Hartlepool Historic Quay on Wednesday, July 17, at 7pm.
A former teacher and schools inspector, he is now a freelance lecturer, broadcaster and writer, as well as a visiting professor of education at the University of Teesside.
In common with his best-selling books, his talk, called A Future in Education, is expected to be humorous, thought-provoking and packed with anecdotes.
Organised by Hartlepool Borough Council's Excellence in Cities initiative, the event is free but places must be booked.
