Life-sized puppets have been helping to launch a summer of fun.
The puppets were made from recycled materials and animated by pupils from the primary school at Thornton-le-Dale, near Pickering, North Yorkshire.
Puppet-making is one of a wide range of activities for youngsters during Ryedale's Summer Festival of Fun.
Venues across the district will be used to stage activities for five to 12-year-olds, from July 22 to August 29.
Music with the Pied Piper project, recycled art, drama workshops, circus skills, felt fun, library visits, art exhibitions and even a didgeridoo workshop are just some of the events on offer.
Activities coordinator Jennie Brown said: "We have tried to make sure that there is something for everyone."
Sessions are from 10am to 3pm and parents are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. For details, call Jennie or Andy Brown on (01751) 473079.
