TV producers are looking for people from in the North-East to take part in a BBC Choice programme called Diners.
The show features people having dinner in a London restaurant while their conversation is recorded.
Researcher Ryan Elterman said: "We are looking for real characters, larger than life, stand out from the crowd people who you cannot help but listen to. They could be any age, male or female, as long as they are lively, chatty and entertaining.
"We are also looking for people who may have a secret of some description or someone who needs an opportunity to announce something to a friend or family member."
The production team is visiting Darlington, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week. Anyone interested in meeting them is asked to call 0208 576 0935.
