POLICE are trying to trace the driver of a car who ran off after it crashed into a house early yesterday.
The BMW 528 smashed into the property in Bowes Close, Spennymoor, at about 1am.
Serious damage was done to the front porch and garage of the home.
The car, which was also badly damaged, was recovered from the scene and police are continuing to investigate.
