A NEW minister will be ordained on Teesside next weekend.
Colin Offor, who has recently completed his clergy training, will be inducted as a minister in the Teesdale Group of United Reformed Churches on Saturday.
The ordination and induction service will take place at Stockton United Reformed Church, in Yarm Lane, at 3pm.
Dari Taylor MP and the moderator of the Northern Synod, the Reverend Peter Poulter, will be at the service.
Dr Dennis Stamp, college dean at the Queen's Foundation for Theological Education in Birmingham, will preach the sermon.
Ministers from Mr Offor's previous community, in the Midlands, will also be making the trip to the North-East.
Local clergy have been invited to the service, along with members of the Durham and Teesside District Council.
