FITNESS fanatics took part in a 100-mile challenge to raise funds for a hospice which provides day care for patients.
Ten enthusiastic walkers, runners and rowers completed the full distance.
Other clocked up 25 or 50 miles on the treadmills and rowing machines at Jades Fitness Suite, at Teesdale Leisure Services, in Barnard Castle.
The sponsored event raised £360 for The Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland, which offers free professional support and respite for patients, carers and their families.
Gerry Hehir, who masterminded the three-month charity drive, said: "After over four years of fundraising for the Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland, through various runs and marathons, I thought I would get members involved. It has encouraged them to go on to do Butterwick Hospice events, such as the Hamsterley Fun Run and the Great North Run."
Butterwick Hospice fundraiser Sylvia Stoneham said: "The members who took part in this event have done amazingly well. The hospice and all its users will really appreciate the funds boost."
