RESIDENTS of Ferryhill and the surrounding areas are invited to a day of fun, relaxation and information at Saint Luke's Church hall on Monday, July 22, from 10am to 3pm.
The event is being organised by the Pioneering Care Partnership, Age Concern Durham County, Princess Royal Trust Carers Centre, and Health Promotion.
It will include the chance for a free complementary therapy taster - reiki, reflexology or aromatherapy - healthy cookery, crime prevention, tai chi, gentle exercise and smoking cessation workshops.
A free lunch is available and the first 12 people to book a place on the crime prevention workshop will receive a free personal attack alarm.
Lisa Nevens, passport to health co-ordinator at the Pioneering Care Centre said: "Anyone living in Ferryhill and the surrounding area is welcome to come along on the day to join the workshops or get information on services.
"We are particularly keen to encourage people with health problems or disabilities, or their carers, to come and find out what we can offer them, and to have some fun.
"Additionally, while taking part in activities, participants can get information on or sign up for a Passport to Health Course running in their area."
For more information, contact Gill Macnab on (01325) 321234 before Friday, July 19.
