A DETAILED planning application for a £1.2m supermarket is expected to be revealed in the next few weeks.
An application for an Aldi store in Eston Square, Redcar is to go before Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and the planning committee is expected to discuss it at its August meeting.
The council's lead member for regeneration, Councillor George Dunning, said: "At last, after months of delicate negotiations, it looks like things are back on track.
"The council has already done improvements, planning ahead for Aldi's arrival, and ward members will continue to keep people updated."
The store, which will create 14 jobs, replaces the town's former Safeway store.
