A SCHOOLBOY has been arrested by police who foiled a drugs deal.
The 12-year-old, arrested on suspicion of supplying heroin, is being held for questioning at Middlesbrough police station, together with a 17-year-old youth.
The youngster was sitting in one of two side-by-side stationary cars which attracted the attention of police drugs team officers.
They swooped, arresting the pair and seizing heroin with a street value of £700.
Cleveland Police, announcing the arrests, said last night there would be no updates on any charges brought before today.
The boy was arrested as part of the Dealer a Day campaign, launched in Middlesbrough, last December
