CONTROVERSIAL comedian Freddie Starr and showbiz legend Ken Dodd will be ticking audiences in the region this autumn.
The pair have been signed up as part of Darlington Civic theatre's autumn season programme.
Freddie Starr, who once hit the headlines after claims he ate a hamster, will presenting an evening of comedy with special guests on September 12.
Lifetime achievement award winner at the British Comedy awards, Ken Dodd will be keeping audiences entertained between October 15 and October 17.
Both performances are expected to sell out.
Other highlights include Puccini's Madame Butterfly, Swan Lake, Annie The Musical and the Four Tops, History of Motown show.
Drama is also on the bill with Corpse, starring Mark McGann and Colin Baker and Don't Dress for Dinner with former Emmerdale actress, Glenda McKay.
The Art Centre's line-up includes One Hit Wonderland with author Tony Hawks, The Taming of The Shrew and Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
Folk and jazz artists will also appearing including Lindisfarne, Tommy Emmanuel and Vin Garbutt.
