CLASSIC cars from all over Britain will descend on Ripon this Sunday for a charity rally.
More than 700 cars are expected at Clotherholme Farm for the eighth annual rally organised by Lenny Wadsworth.
Mr Wadsworth, who made a full recovery from throat cancer, launched the event to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
It has since generated £27,000 and has become popular with old car enthusiasts.
"One is driving his Lagonda all the way from Portsmouth.
"It only travels 12 to 14 miles per gallon so he will have to stick to roads where there are petrol pumps," he said.
He owns a 1953 split screen Morris Minor which he will be exhibiting at the event. Other displays will include tractors, kit cars and commercial vehicles.
"I launched the event as a one-off, but it has just taken off from there," he added.
