A countryside cinema reopens tonight.
The curtain will once again go up at the Palace Cinema in Chancery Lane, Malton, North Yorkshire, with a showing of the classic wartime romance Casablanca.
The cinema was taken over in March this year by former BBC engineer Jeremy Powell, a self-confessed film fanatic who has restored the premises. "We played some of the film the other day and it was lovely, a great feeling, to see it up on the big screen again," he said.
The Humphrey Bogart-Ingrid Bergman movie hastwo charity showings, at 4.30pm and 7.30pm.
Tomorrow, the Star Wars film, Attack of the Clones, starts a week's run.
