A GROUP of children is about to give grown ups as well as other youngsters lessons in being tidy.
The Clean Up Raiders who are all under 14 will carry out supervised litter picks in Middlesbrough's Gresham ward.
Councillor Ron Lowes, responsible to the district council for the local environment, said: "These children are passing on a message not only to other children, but to the litter dropping public.
"They want people to be responsible for their own actions on litter and environmental issues - and take much more pride in their town's overall appearance."
Les Broomhead, chairman of the Friends of Ayresome Gardens, said: "We are looking for more local Gresham youngsters to join the team. They should get in touch with the Meath Street Community Centre for more details."
