THE family of a former Darlington Town Council member and clerk of Weardale Rural District Council are appealing for pictures of him.
Wilf Hume, who was also a church lay reader in Darlington for more than 60 years, now lives in Frosterley.
His family are appealing for anyone who knew him to come forward with anecdotes or photographs, so they can create an album charting his time in Darlington as a surprise to mark his 90th birthday, on September 17.
Anyone wishing to send a photograph or information about Mr Hume can write to his daughter, Margaret Gibson, at 17 Robinson's Lane, North Thoresby, Grimsby, DN36 5QY.
