RETAILER Big Food Group yesterday posted flat first-quarter sales and warned its performance would not improve until a shake-up of the business was complete.
Like-for-like sales at the frozen food group failed to grow on last year's levels.
At Iceland stores, sales slid 3.5 per cent on the same basis although Booker cash and carry reported an 1.3 per cent improvement and catering business Woodward was up 10.6 per cent.
Big Food, until recently known as Iceland, unveiled in March plans to open 80 new Iceland stores by 2005.
