PROUD father David Sellars is particularly thrilled with the latest member of his family - and with good reason.
For he was on hand to personally deliver son Kai when he came into the world three weeks early.
Mother Joanna Handley was at home in Chapelfields Road, Acomb, York, when her contractions began.
By the time paramedics Steve Logan, 30, and Andy Church, 40, arrived, Mr Sellars had helped bring little Kai into the world, weighing in at a healthy 6lb 11oz.
Mr Sellars, a chef, said: "It was one big panic at first, but then everything just started to happen and it all seemed very natural.
"I was thrilled and honoured to be delivering my own baby.
"I'm over the moon, and it's something that will stay with me forever."
Kai is now settled at home with his sister Jade, eight, and brother Daniel, six.
