YOUNGSTERS have been enjoying a flavour of student life during a series of taster days at Redcar and Cleveland College.
The sessions are designed to give year ten pupils from schools throughout the area an idea of what they might like to study when they leave school.
Pupils have had the chance to participate in group activities and get hands-on experience of their preferred profession, from IT and performing arts, to hairdressing and construction.
Liam Watson and Paul Jackson, both 15, from Laurence Jackson School in Guisborough, took part in a building crafts session.
Liam said: "This day-long course was great fun and an excellent opportunity for us to get an insight into what the full or part-time courses would be like."
Scheme co-ordinator Penny Wadrop said: "When year 11s finish their GCSEs, they have the daunting prospect of making important decisions about the future and deciding what avenues to take. This helps them make crucial choices."
