Tow Law New Market A moved into third place after they only dropped three points on their visit to Esh McKennas.
The home side made a good start by taking one of the two trebles but then they dropped all six singles as Kenneth Atkinson, David Dixon, Darren yeomen, Bobby Gray, Matty Seaton and John Parkin won for the visitors. The home side did recover to take the last two doubles points.
Despite losing the singles at Tow Law Cattle Mart, Newhouse Club came through to win the match by three points to hold on to their second place in the table, five points behind the leaders, Hamilton Row Black Horse and two ahead of the New Market A. The Mart had singles wins from Stephen Boughey, Joe Jordan, Bob McFadden and Colin Boughey, whilst Dave Thornton and Brian Jones replied. The Club took both trebles and all three doubles to make their victory.
The leading individual scorers were Wayne Anderson with a maximum for the Earl Derby, Rachel Heppell 156 for the Dan's Castle, Mally Henry 140 for the Moss Inn, Michael Bell 140 for the Station and Ray Johnson 140 for the Comedian.

Crook Ladies League
Crook Queen's Head A, the unbeaten league leaders, faced their toughest task to date when they visited Willington Black Horse and dropped four points, the most in any match this season. They still lead the table by twenty points with Tow Law New Market B in second place, four points ahead of Crook Travellers Rest.
Pat Joyce of Willington Black Horse led the individual scoring with 152. The other high scorers were Julie Nelson 140 for Jelly's Bar A, Dawn Harrison 140 for the Queen's Head A, Ann Adams 138 for the Green Tree, Rose Moffatt 134 and 125 for Belle Vue Club, Evelyn Alderson 133 for the New Market A, Carol Spencer 133 for the New Market B, Karen Moses 125 for the Travellers Rest and Louise Stockdale 101 for the North Point.
