THE boys and girls at St Joseph's Primary School are celebrating their most successful football season ever.
The youngsters at the voluntary aided Catholic school in Stanley have no fewer than four trophies and ended up runners-up in another four competitions.
Three of the team also represented Derwentside Boys to bring yet more glory to the school.
"Our success has been achieved through a great attitude shown by all of the children, combined with a tremendous team spirit," said team coach Barry Embleton.
The side won The President's League without dropping a point, the Cannon Gaughan Trophy, the Leadgate Eden Colliery Cup, and the Derwentside Primary Schools Five-a-Side Championship.
