Secondary school pupils in the borough of Stockton got together yesterday to help raise money for Sport Relief.
Mayor of Stockton Councillor Jean O'Donnell started a torch carry relay from Stockton Town Hall.
About 30 youngsters took part in the relay, which went to all the secondary schools in the borough and ended at specialist sports college Northfield School, in Billingham.
Lisa Yates, from Stockton Borough Council's sports development team, said: "It is pleasing to know that we have so many enthusiastic, not to mention fit, young people in the borough who are willing to take part in an event such as this, to raise money for Sport Relief.
