PEOPLE planning journeys in and around Northumberland are about to find their task is made easier with the help of a new map form Ordnance Survey.
The mapping agency is publishing the map in its Travel Map series to help visitors, and people living in the area, discover more of the delights that Northumberland has to offer.
Steve Erskine, Ordnance Survey's managing director of graphic brands, said the guide was clear and easy to read and featured extra tourist information like theatres, cinemas, sports venues, theme parks and museums.
He said: "Whether people are local to the area or visiting for the first time, planning journeys and locating places of interest is really easy.
"This is because the entire region, stretching from Durham to the Scottish border and from the North Sea to the Pennines, is laid out on one sheet."
The map costs £3.99 and is available from tourist information centres, book shops or through the leisure section of Ordnance Survey's web site: www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/leisure
