PRIMARY schools throughout the Northallerton area are opening their doors to leisure chiefs over the next fortnight.
The Hambleton Leisure Centre staff will be visiting a dozen schools to promote its summer holiday activities.
The summer events are aimed at developing children's skills in arts and crafts, as well as sport and drama.
Assistant centre manager, Richard Boucher, said: "It's great that we can get our staff to work alongside the schools, giving the children the opportunity to experience what the centre is offering.
"It is vital that we meet the local children so that they feel confident to spend time with the centre over the long summer holidays."
