A windmill will provide an unusual backdrop during an exhibition next month.
The Fulwell Mill, Sunderland, will host Sunderland City Council's summer art exhibition from August 3 to 11.
The 180-year-old mill reopened in June last year following a £810,000 restoration and includes a visitors' centre and shop in which flour milled at the site is sold.
The exhibition of work by local artists is supported by Fulwell Art Club and Sunderland Art Club.
There will be free admission to the exhibition staged in a marquee on the site, but normal admission charges to the windmill apply.
