Hartlepool'S Historic Quay will provide the setting for a Shakespearian tale of a prince and princess shipwrecked on a foreign shore.
Chapterhouse Theatre Company put on the open air production of Shakespeare's romantic comedy Twelfth Night on Thursday.
Some seating and picnic tables will be provided but people are welcome to bring their own folding chairs or rugs. A buffet is available at £10 per person, to be booked in advance, though people may bring their own food.
The show starts at 7.30pm, with the doors open at 6.30pm to give people the chance to enjoy their picnic and settle down before it begins.
Tickets cost £8 for adults and £6 for concessions from the Tourist Information Centre at Hartlepool Art Gallery, or on (01429) 890000 or 523608.
