PLANS to introduce safety schemes on roads in Hartlepool look likely to be approved.
Members of Hartlepool Borough Council's regeneration and economy committee will meet on Thursday to discuss plans for "gateway" schemes on a number of roads in the town.
A gateway feature is a mixture of traffic islands, signs and carriageway markings located on main routes at the change from a rural to an urban area.
Roads on which they would be installed include the A1086 Easington Road southbound approach to King Oswy Drive; A179 West View Road eastbound approach to Bamburgh Road; and C162 Hart Lane southbound approach to Merlin Way.
