THEATRE fans enjoyed a colourful performance last night as the longest-running stage musical of all time returned to the North-East.
Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat opened its six-day run at Darlington Civic Theatre, featuring singing from the choir at the town's Haughton School.
With songs Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door To Me and One More Angel, the show launched the careers of Rice and Lloyd Webber.
The show continues until Saturday, with performances at 7.30pm until Thursday, 1.30pm today until Thursday, 5pm and 8pm on Friday, and 2pm and 8pm on Saturday.
Tickets cost between £10 and £21.50, and are available on (01325) 486555.
