A CHARITY is promising a knight to remember later this month.
And any damsels in distress at County Hall in Northallerton had their pick of heroes yesterday.
However, there was a serious message behind the arrival of two combatants on the lawns of the administrative headquarters.
They were there to promote a planned evening of medieval entertainment at Bolton Castle in the Yorkshire Dales on Saturday, July 27.
The money raised on the night will help fund the work of the Hambleton and Richmond Victim Support Group.
Attractions will include jousting, hand-to-hand combat with traditional broadswords, falconry and archery, along with music and food from the era to add extra authenticity to proceedings.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £1.50 for children.
