HARTLEPOOL United's fans will tonight get their first opportunity to see their promotion hopefuls in action.
But Chris Turner is likely to field a second-string side for the trip to Spennymoor and instead keep his first-teamers for Saturday's visit to Berwick.
Pool netted 24 goals in two games on tour in Holland last week and Turner is set to field the same team from last Thursday's 12-0 win over SV Nootdorp.
The only addition should be striker Eifion Williams, who missed the tour as he became a father for the first time.
One player who won't be considered is Tommy Widdrington despite coming through his first full training session. The midfielder will continue his recovery from back and hamstring trouble but is still not ready for first-team action.
Spennymoor are managed by Tony Lee -father of Pool defender Graeme.
And the Brewery Field chief is hoping for a big turnout tonight. The UniBond League club have been transformed under Lee's command, but face an uncertain future as they are embroiled in a row with Spennymoor Town Council.
Councillors have voted to evict the club from their ground, where the club has played for 100 years.
And Lee said: "We are hoping for a really good show of support, not only from our own fans but Hartlepool supporters as well.
"The future of the club is in the balance and we don't know what is going to happen. It is that serious.
"Everything we can do to show how important the club is to the town can only help us and we hope there will be a big turnout.
"There's a lot of Hartlepool connections in our squad, with Jason Ainsley, Steve Hutt and Chris Lynch all involved and Pool's keeper Jim Provitt was on loan here last season.''
l Darlington last night beat Durham City 2-1 in a very competitive friendly played at their Maiden Castle training ground.
Goals from Danny Mellanby and Adam Reed ensured a victory for the Quakers in a game which saw manager Tommy Taylor give most of the first-team squad a run-out.
Taylor also had five trialists on show and after the game the Darlington boss revealed he was confident that two players, who have been with the club for the past two weeks, would be putting pen to paper at Feethams.
Former Everton left-back Ryan Valentine and midfielder Ashley Nicholls, who was at Ipswich, have both impressed Taylor and are expected to be rewarded with contracts.
Meanwhile new signing Matt Clarke has been handed the number 24 shirt next season.
Clarke has taken the shirt number occupied by former keeper Keith Finch. Striker/midfielder Glenn Naylor becomes Quakers number six having occupied the 18 and 16 berths in recent years while the number three of Paul Heckingbottom - who has signed for first division Norwich City - has been filled by Simon Betts.
The number seven shirt worn by Gary Himsworth - forced to retire through injury last season - goes to Gary Pearson, who was ruled out for six months last term with a neck problem. Adam Rundle has not yet been given a squad number as he is still a youth team player.
Squad: 1 Collett, 3 Betts, 4 Liddle, 5 Reed, 6 Naylor, 7 Pearson, 8 Clark, 9 Ford, 10 Maddison, 11 Atkinson, 12 Mellanby, 13 Conlon, 14 Campbell, 15 Hodgson, 16 Wainwright, 17 Convery, 18 Keltie, 19 Sheeran, 20 McGurk, 21 Waller, 22 Porter, 23 Kilty, 24 Clarke.
