Burnopfield easily defeated neighbour Lintz to move into the next round of the competition and once again the Stoneman cousins led the way.
Mark rattled one six and 12 boundaries in 84 and Lee added 30 to the Burnopfield total of 198 for the loss of six wickets. Paul Foster, was the most productive bowler in the Lintz attack taking two wickets for 21 runs in four overs. Lintz never seriously threatened and were 103 for three when their over expired.
Bob Hay U18 Cup Final
Esh Winning celebrated winning the trophy but they had only eight runs to spare against Sedgefield when the final was staged on Sunday afternoon. Batting first, Esh Winning struggled for runs and eventually totalled only 84 for eight from their 24 overs. Chris Hurst top scored with 25 and Carl Turner carried his bat for 19 but throughout the innings the Sedgefield bowlers were in command. Jennerson captured four wickets for a meagre eight runs in six overs.
Responding, Sedgefield were always in with a chance but their innings eventually closed in the penultimate over with only 76 runs on the board.
Premier Sports Durham Coast League U13s
Peterlee were all out for just 49 when they met Murton who went on to win without losing a wicket. Thomas Raine had a hat-trick in six for seven and Stephenson took two wickets for five runs when Peterlee struggled in their innings.
Silksworth had 73 runs in hand on neighbours Ryhope, Scott Davison rattled one six and seven boundaries contributing 63 and Craig Nield finished with 52 not out which included a couple of fixtures and five fours. The pair provided most of the runs in the Silksworth total of 171 for three and replying Ryhope were pegged to 95 for eight which included 35 by Willing.
Hylton's Liam Barnett was another batsman in great form leading his side to victory over Bill Quay. He was only four runs short of a century when the overs expired.
Dawdon had seven wickets in hand of Seaham Park when the sides met in the derby. Batting first, Seaham Park totalled 53 for the loss of nine wickets and replying Dawdon made 54 for three.
