East Rainton continued to dominate division one and they made it 12 wins out of 13 defeating Littletown by 51 runs.
Gordon Steel was the architect of their total of 211 for five when he opened the innings and carried his bat for 102. David Aylesbury contributed 46.
Littletown lost both their opening batsmen for a combined total of just one run, but Nelson (74) and Andy Woollett, with 43, raised their hopes but following their dismissals a collapse occurred and the innings closed at 160.
Wearmouth are second and they had six wickets in hand at home to Coundon who batting first, reached 158 before their last wicket fell. Opener Timms was in good form scoring 74 and afterwards Murray contributed 23 while for Wearmouth Peter Stronach had figures of three for 55 and Malcolm Dench four for 13.
Responding Wearmouth were indebted to Colin Davison for his innings of 70 and to Wright who added a useful 33.
Washington had 45 runs in hand of Coxhoe who, batting second, were restricted to 125 for nine which included an unbeaten 60 by Whitfield. Bloomfield bowled a good end for Coxhoe taking four wickets for 54 runs and Mullen finished with three for 29.
Medomsley were all out for 81 visiting Belford House. Shaw top scored with 39 and for Belford House Duncan Forrest maintained his outstanding form capturing five wickets for 36 runs. Chris Elves weighed in with three for 34.
Forrest then starred with the bat and when he finished unbeaten on 31 after opening the innings, Belford House romped to an eight wickets victory.
Despite being faced with a target of 169 Benwell Hill won against Sunderland Hospitals with seven wickets in tact. Barry Pearson was in splendid form scoring 66 and Taylor carried his bat for 41.
Plawsworth, who are playing their home matches at Durham City, were beaten by eight wickets when they entertained Newton Aycliffe. Wheeler (65) and Mitchie with 58 led Newton Aycliffe to 179 for two after Plawsworth had totalled 176 for six. Mark Fletcher with 76 was in good form for the home team and in the Aycliffe attack Mitchie had figures of four for 51.
Simonside continue to lead division two and they saw off the challenge from third placed East Rainton with more than 100 runs to spare.
Hunwick are second to Simonside and they had 38 runs in hand of Bearpark. Alderson, with 41, and Pratt (37) led Hunwick to 167 all out with Bell taking four for 36 and Lishman three for 42 in the Bearpark attack. Responding Bearpark hit 129.
Kelloe realised 170 for eight in their home match with Plawsworth. Tunstall (37) top scored. Plawsworth were all out for 98 which included 31 by Burrell.
Belmont defeated Wearmouth by 104 runs after posting a very healthy 259 for seven. Doolan struck a century and Oliver carried his bat for 53 and McDaid added 39. Wearmouth responded with 155 for three before the overs expired.
Baljit returned figures of four for 47 and both Sowden and Baxter took two wickets each when Washington were dismissed for 96 visiting Whiteleas. College had made 37 for Washington before he was run out.
Kibblesworth ended on 181 for eight which included a half-century by Middlemiss but they still lost to Burnhope, who won by four wickets.
North Bitchburn visited Tantobie where they won by just nine runs. When they were required to score 148 for victory, Tantobie were restricted to 138 for six which included 20 plus scores by English, Lodge and Smith, while for North Bitchburn Lee (3-51) and Tennick (2-77) shared the attack throughout.
Batting first North Bitchburn ended on 147.
