MUSEUM visitors will gain an insight into archaeology as part of an event this weekend.
To celebrate National Archaeology Day, Bede's World, in Jarrow, is hosting a programme of activities called Lost and Found.
It will allow visitors to investigate the clues that archaeologists used to piece together the appearance of the Anglo-Saxon monastery of St Paul's, Jarrow, where the Venerable Bede lived and worked 1,300 years ago.
Their finds included everyday objects such as belt buckles, knives and whetstones belonging to the monks, and rare objects such as coloured window glass.
