A GROUP of pupils from a Newton Aycliffe school have performed their own adaptation of an English folk tale.
The students from Greenfield School Community and Arts College performed their version of the story I Love You More Than Salt.
The work has been in progress since September.
The project was supported by the New Opportunities Fund, with the help of Newcastle-based Northern Stage artist Annie Rigg and head of drama Lesley Watt.
A spokesman for the schools said: "The resulting performance was fantastic and a real credit to everyone who has obviously worked so very hard in creating such a witty and well-performed piece of drama."
Performers included: Lucy Bradley, Sarah Collier, Rebecca Henderson, Rebecca Hibbert, Natalie Hodgson, Becky Hurst, Kelly-Anne Miller, Gemma Rodgers, Danielle Sanderson, Neil Turner and Laura Young.
