SECONDARY school pupils have been rewarded for their sporting achievements during the past year.
Year seven, eight and nine pupils at Ian Ramsey CE School, Stockton, received their prizes at an awards night from former pupils, runner Alison Curbishly and footballer James Beaumont, of Newcastle United.
Awards Football Player's Player: Year seven - Ben Worton; year eight - Ben Icke; year nine - Chris Johnson.
Under-13 Girls Football Player's Player: Lauren Hodgson.
Netball Player's Player: Year seven - Natasha Storey; year eight - Amy Comerford; year nine A - Nadia Bashir; year nine B - Caroline Cowley.
Rounders Player's Player: Year seven - Lauren Adams; year nine - Stephanie Hooton.
Most Promising Swimmers: Matthew Winship and Sally McTomney.
Most Promising Athletes: Jonathon Franks and Laura Allaway. Sportsman of the Year: Simon Bartle. Sportswoman of the Year: Stephanie Hooton.
