YOUNG entrepreneurs from Staindrop will represent the North-East next week in a business competition.
The youngsters set up a company named Blue Moo to win the regional finals of the HSBC Young Enterprise Innovation Awards.
Next week, they will compete against groups from around the UK at the Savoy Hotel, in London, for the national title.
The eight directors of Blue Moo, all aged 14 and 15, have developed light switch surrounds, key holders and notepad sets based on farmyard animals.
In order to win the UK title on Tuesday, Blue Moo will have to convince a panel of judges that their approach has been more innovative than the eleven other finalist companies from around the UK.
If they are successful, they will get the chance to compete at the European finals in Paris next month.
