Tow Law New Market B made a recovery in the doubles to beat their hosts at Tow Law Station by the odd point.
The visitors took both trebles but then only had Shaun McGrath and Gavin Tennant as their singles winners. The singles winners for the Station were Michael Bell, Steve Kenny, Norman Brown and George Hope. The New Market B regained the lead by taking the first two doubles but the home side kept the result tight by taking the final doubles.
Hamilton Row Black Horse are five points ahead of Newhouse Club at the top of the table, with Tow Law New Market A just a further point adrift.
The leading individual scorers were Dorothy Mowbray with 180 for the Rose and Crown, D. Dixon 180 for the New Market A, W. Anderson 180 for the Earl Derby, Lol Cullinan, Brian Wilson and Lee Cullinan 140 each for the Moss Inn and g. Hope and S. Kenny 140 each for the Station. Tom Hauxwell made the best start of the week with 120 for the New Market B.

Crook Ladies League
There were two maximums in this weeks matches. Gail Abbott of Crook Queen's Head A hit 180 and 140 and Barbara Smith of Crook Cricket Club hut 180 and 125.
The other leading scorers were Dorothy Storey 140 and 121 and Ann Varley 140 for the Travellers Rest, Norma Parkin 140 for Jelly's B, Eileen Graham 140 for the Queen's Head A, Jacqueline Baker 134 and Joan Charlton 125 for the New Market B, Karen Cuddas 133 and Marie Spence 121 for the Victoria, Kay Henry 133 for the Cattle Mart and Claire Johnson 132 for the Green Tree.
Crook Queen's Head A lead the table by nineteen points from Tow Law New Market B, who are one point ahead of Crook Travellers Rest. Crook Jelly's Bar B trail the Travellers by three points but have a match in hand.

Doreen Johnson Memorial Darts
Crook Queen's Head A landed the winners trophies when they whitewashed the Queen's Head C team in the final played at Crook RAFA Club. In the semi-finals the Queen's A beat the RAFA Club 3-1 whilst the Queen's C beat The Royal Sun Inn 3-0. The winning team was captained by Eileen Graham, who received the trophy for the fifth consecutive time.
The leading individual scorers on Finals Night were Janice Warriner 180 and Betty Chapman 125 and 120 for the RAFA Club, Carol Haygarth 119 for the Royal Sun and Eileen Graham 102, Margaret Stewart 125 and Gail Abbott three 140's for the Queen's Head A.
