Parents and children are invited to join a chit-chat club soon to be opened in Guisborough.
The group, run by health visitors from Langbaurgh NHS Primary Care Trust, holds its first meeting on Friday, July 26, from 9.30am to 1.30am, at Chapel Beck House, in Woodhouse Road. Parents will be able to get advice on caring for their children, including weaning babies, baby massage and support for family problems.
FISHING MATCH: Anglers aged five to 15 from Redcar are invited to take part in a junior fishing match on Wednesday, August 7. The match, sponsored by Supabuy, of Redcar, takes place at Hutton Rudby Ponds, between 10.30am and 2pm, with a coach leaving Redcar Information Centre at 9.30am. Places must be booked before Saturday, July 27, and children over 12 need a licence. For details visit Supabuy, in Cleveland Street, or Redcar Angling Centre, in the High Street.
GAMES OFFER: Old-fashioned games, including skittles, hoop and stick and whips and tops can be played by children who visit Margrove Heritage Centre, near Guisborough, this summer. SEASON TICKETS: Fans of Marske United Football Club can pick up their season tickets for the Albany Northern League. Adult tickets are £40, children and pensioners £18. OPEN HOUSE: The 325-year-old almshouses at Sir William Turner's Hospital, in Kirkleatham, near Redcar, are open to the public every Sunday afternoon, until September. The building has a chapel which is virtually unchanged since it was remodelled in the 1730s.
HEALTHY TALK: A talk on healthy living and eating will take place at Brotton Library, in the High Street, on Wednesday, July 31 at 1.30pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
