TWO brothers have teamed up with TV agony aunt Denise Robertson to write a new musical.
Peter and Dean Robertson, both of Sunderland and who have graduated from the city's university, have written the music for a stage version of one of her novels.
It is the first time that Peter, who received his BA (Hons) in media production, and Dean, who graduated with a Certificate in Education, have composed a musical.
Called Fine, Fine, Fine, it is based on Denise's book Anxious Heart, and will open at The Customs House, South Shields, Tyneside, next month.
It reveals the troubled lives and class problems encountered by three woman living in the North-East in a house divided into flats.
Peter, 35, and Dean, 39, who are no relation to Denise, are known to her through their links with a band which includes Denise's son, Mark.
Denise said: "I've known their music for ten years. I wanted them to do the music because I know the quality of their work.
"The two boys have written some fantastic songs. They write wonderful ballads.
"They will definitely make a very good career out of writing and composing, there is no question about that.
"I have no doubt whatsoever that the music they have composed for Fine, Fine, Fine would grace a West End stage.''
Fine, Fine, Fine will run from August 1 to 17. For more details call The Customs House on 0191-454 1234.
