A FACTORY'S family fun day has given a big boost to its chosen charity.
The event at Komatsu, of Birtley, near Gateshead, raised £1,750 for Hadrian School, in Newcastle, the only school in the city for primary age youngsters with learning difficulties.
The school plans to use the money raised to buy hoists and slings, adapted chairs and standing frames and other equipment for the pupils.
The money was raised by raffles and tombola drawn throughout the day.
Among the attractions were a bucking bronco, karaoke, horse riding, archery, a magician and a barbecue.
