FAMILIES in Hartlepool will be able to get out and about during the summer holidays when the popular Badger Bus service begins today.
The service 402, operated by Stagecoach in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council and the Countryside Agency, offers links to Ward Jackson Park, Hart to Haswell Walkway and Summerhill, Billingham Beck and the Castle Eden Walkway.
It will run Monday to Friday, until August 26, and, in addition, on two Sundays - August 21 and September 1.
A Family Day Rover ticket, for up to two adults and three children, costs £1.50; an Adult Day Rover is £1, while Senior Citizen Day Rover and Child Day Rover, for children aged from five to 15, are 50p.
Children under the age of five and holders of Blind Persons passes travel for free. All children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
Timetables are available from a number of public buildings or by contacting (01429) 523555.
