NURSERY children have been given a taste of what life could be like for the partially sighted - while raising cash for charity.
Youngsters attending the creche at Darlington College in Catterick were all invited to pay to wear sunglasses for the day.
While their eyes may have been protected from the glare of the sun when they played outside, once inside, the children received an insight into what life might be like without the clear vision most people take for granted.
All the money raised by the children last Tuesday will go to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, which has already benefited from the sale of pin badges around the college.
An arts exhibition was also held last week at the college with admission fees being added to the charity total.
