TEACHERS enlisted the help of their pupils when they decided to revamp their reception area.
The 24 youngsters in teacher Shelley Campbell's class at Helmsley's primary school stitched, plaited and weaved to create an enormous work of art in just a few weeks.
And now their six creative designs, each with a local theme, are bringing fresh colour to the school's reception area.
The idea for the art work first came from the North York Moors National Park, which approached the school and asked it to design and make one for their offices which are nearby.
And the school found that parting with that one was so difficult that they decided to make another, and keep it for themselves this time.
"Everybody has done something and I think I have some talented children in my class," said Mrs Campbell.
