CHILDREN in Middlesbrough are being given the chance to take part in a range of sporting activities throughout the summer.
Summer Sports Camps Extra, run by Middlesbrough Council and Kings Manor Sports College, runs from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Children can also enrol on other camps, which run from 10am to 2.30pm.
Sports Camps Extra offers a choice of sports including, hockey, soccer, rugby, tri-golf, cricket and mini-basketball.
The camps are generally for children aged eight to 14. However, soccer coaching is open to five to 14-year-olds and cricket camps are open to six to 14-year-olds.
All camps are available to boys and girls.
The camps start next Monday and run until August 23. Activities are held at Acklam Sports Centre, Middlesbrough, and every child who participates receives a free T-shirt.
The cost of the camps ranges from £21 to £36, depending on the number of hours children wish to attend.
