THE police dog section at RAF Leeming has done its bit to help some of the region's least fortunate dogs.
They have become the proud sponsors of a new puppy pen at the Jerry Green Dog Sanctuary near Thirsk.
The section donated £200 to help to fund the upkeep of newly-born puppies and to pay for toys to keep them amused. The money was raised by taking a percentage of the boarding fees of RAF families' dogs.
Members of the section have presented a plaque to be displayed on the puppy kennel.
