FOR some grannies the ideal present might include dinner with Des Lynam or a new James Last record.
But Stockton grandmother Dianne Arthur thought of something much more practical - new computers for her grandchildren's school.
Mrs Arthur had the chance to pick her dream prize after entering a competition run by biscuit firm Fox's and Safeway supermarkets.
Yesterday, she joined pupils at Our Lady and St Bede Primary School, Stockton to help unpack the computer equipment she won for them.
Turning down the chance to win an exotic holiday, a new kitchen, or a slave for the day, was easy, she said.
"I know that schools always need more equipment and I thought this would be a great dream because my biscuit break would make a difference to the pupils," she explained.
After Fox's Biscuits supplied the school with computers and network software, a spokesman for the school said: "This really is a dream come true for the children and staff. The extra hardware and software will help pupils improve their IT skills."
