CZECH student Petra Bohunova has been working with a Darlington law firm.
The 21-year-old, from the town of Brno, in the Czech Republic, has been getting to grips with the English legal system at Close Thornton Solicitors.
She has spent much of her time in the firm's library, researching different areas of law, but has also assisted several of the solicitors with their day-to-day case work.
The second-year law student said: "I have enjoyed my time with Close Thornton.
"All the solicitors were extremely helpful and I have learnt a great deal. English law is very different to Czech law, but hopefully, with the help of all the partners and staff at Close Thornton, I will find my English law studies much easier."
As part of her studies, Petra has to research English law and various aspects of the legal system. She will be sitting her second-year examinations in September
