Micky Hammond has wasted no time in getting back among the winners since his return to the training ranks.
And Minster York, who has already been on the scoresheet for the Middleham handler at Market Rasen last time, can be on the mark again in the Weatherbys Insurance Handicap Chase (4.35) at Sedgefield this afternoon.
Hammond's chaser looked a risky betting proposition for much of his career but he's really come good of late and prior to that latest victory, he'd also been on the scoresheet at Hexham this month.
He'll get his optimum requirements here - two miles on a sound surface - and, although up in the weights again, he's the type who has more to offer now he's hit top form.
His only defeat in his last three outings has been at the hands of Divet Hill and the last-named can be on the mark in the St Mowden Properties Novices Hurdle (2.55) over two miles and five furlongs.
This versatile sort had looked better than ever over fences but he returned to hurdles to win over course and distance last time. A reproduction of that form should ensure a good run.
Mike Sowersby has had winners on the Flat and over hurdles this term and he can be in double form with Frazer's Lad (2.20) and Tiger Talk (4.00).
The former also comes to this race having won two of his last three outings and this ground should be very much to his liking.
Tiger Talk is not the most consistent but he's well capable of going close if in the mood against some quirky rivals in the two-mile-five-furlong handicap hurdle.
At Hamilton's evening meeting, the ever-impressive Keith Dalgleish can also notch a double with Dispol Foxtrot (7.10) and Oulton Broad (9.10).
The former wasn't disgraced in a steadily-run race over a mile in better company last week but she'll certainly appreciate the step up to this trip on softer ground.
Oulton Broad has done really well for his current yard, with two recent wins over hurdles and a course-and-distance victory to his name this month.
This ground will be ideal and he's just the sort to improve again from this lowly mark. The booking of Dalgleish looks the icing on the cake.
Lydia's Look is well worth another chance back on a soft surface in the European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap (7.40) over five furlongs.
Although behind one of tonight's rivals, Roxanne Mill, last time at Nottingham, she could be bettter suited by these conditions and she's certainly fairly treated at present.
The best bet at Doncaster's evening meeting could be Richard Fahey's Hebenus, who won under Dalgleish at Hamilton last week and he can carry a penalty to victory in the Master Cutler Handicap (8.55) over six furlongs.
