RECEPTIONIST Marina Metcalf is staging a 12-hour squash marathon for a leading cancer charity.
On Saturday, she aims to play 48 games to raise money for Cancer Research UK and celebrate the memory of a friend who died of cancer.
Marina, of Gateshead, will play at Springs Health Club, Gateshead from 8am and opponents include former British Number One Squash Champion Brian Beeson and Northumberland County Champion John Dale.
She will charge competitors £5 for each 15-minute game.
Marina decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of her friend Christine Smith who died from the disease.
